About ESAexpert
A tool built by one person, for people the WCA was never written to be fair to.
Why I built this
I came to the UK with a working knowledge of English. The Department for Work and Pensions does not. Their assessment is fair on paper and brutal in practice for anyone who is not a native English speaker, or who is too unwell to translate their own experience into bureaucratic language, or who simply does not know that "I struggle sometimes" scores zero points while "I cannot reliably remain at a workstation for more than 30 minutes due to significant discomfort" maps to a descriptor.
I built PIPexpert first, the sister tool for PIP claims. It worked. People used it, kept their awards, and told other people. ESAexpert is the same idea applied to the Work Capability Assessment.
How it works
You tell us your conditions and how they affect your day. We generate WCA50 / UC50 answers personalised to your conditions across all 17 activities. The answers are written in the language assessors look for, with descriptor matching, the reliability criteria built in, and an evidence checklist.
The technology behind it is the Anthropic Claude API. Your information is processed in real time to generate your report. We do not store the medical information you enter on any server. When your session ends, it is gone from our side.
What ESAexpert is
- A drafting tool. It produces the language and evidence framework. You review, adjust, and submit.
- Built around the actual WCA descriptors. Every output is mapped to the criteria the assessor scores against.
- Honest about what AI does. The AI is great at producing the right phrasing for your situation. It is not a clinician and it is not a benefits adviser.
- UK-based. Run from the UK, written for UK claimants, priced in pounds.
What ESAexpert is not
- Not legal advice. If your case has been refused at tribunal stage, you need a welfare rights specialist or a legal-aid solicitor.
- Not a regulated benefits advisor. We provide guidance, not representation.
- Not affiliated with the DWP, the NHS, or any charity. No partnerships, no endorsements claimed that do not exist.
- Not a guarantee. The DWP makes the decision. Many people use our report and succeed. Some do not. We can give you the strongest possible claim; we cannot decide the outcome.
How we handle your information
The health information you enter is special category personal data under Article 9 of the UK GDPR. We process it under Article 9(2)(a) - explicit consent, which you give by ticking the consent box before generating your report. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us. We do not store medical input on our servers; we transmit it to our AI provider over HTTPS to generate your report, and discard it afterwards. We do not sell or share your information with anyone, ever. See Terms of Service for the full picture.
